About

The Raving Gamer Bistro is Langley's first board game restaurant – serving up food and fun in a funky, family-friendly full-service environment.

Locally-sourced ingredients are at the heart of our kitchen. Our master chef has put together a menu for all tastes, from smoked olives and charcuterie to burgers and to-die-for grilled cheese sandwiches, and much more.

While you're enjoying your meal, let our Games Master help you choose from a vast array of board games for all ages, interests and skill levels.

For special occasions, we have a cozy private room featuring our beautiful custom-designed table from Orenda Game Tables in Calgary. We are also available for large-group bookings.

We also have a large and ever-growing selection of games for sale in our retail section so you can take the fun home!

THE CREW

THE CHEF & EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Ken Nishidate

With over 30 years of culinary and management experience Chef Ken decided to put that experience to work for himself.

"I am a local guy who loves all the local products we have at our doorstep and wants to bring it to you. From products like cheeses from Golden Ears Cheese crafters in Maple Ridge and water buffalo from Abbotsford, to breads from A Bread Affair and even local brews from Andina and Field House and spirits from Roots and Wings, we use nothing but the finest and freshest. I love to experiment with my “comfort foods” and hope that you like the offerings we have for you. I’m always looking for great products and allowing them to shine in the dishes I create. I have always wondered why Langley had such a shortage of great local restaurants that featured local products and why we had to travel west to have a night of great entertainment and great food. We made this place with the intent of having you experience a warm and inviting place to have great food and play a fun game with friends and family. We looked at some of the things we didn’t like at other restaurants and did the opposite! Details like legless booth tables, so you don’t bump into them on your way in and out, to larger tables for you to enjoy a game without having to squish it smaller to have food at the same table. Enjoy!"
